Formless and Dark but Energetic and Orderly
The original state of the universe, just after creation, was dark, formless, and empty, but the darkness was highly organized. The first gamma rays were distributed very nearly uniformly in all of space. They were directed in all directions. In that sense they were formless. No distinguishing pattern would have been apparent to our inspection. However, the energy was concentrated in rays that vibrate very rapidly. None of the rays vibrated as slowly as light rays, because all was dark. All the rates were very high. Something chose the rates of vibration of the rays. Concentration or selection requires organizing or choosing. It requires the processing of a great deal of information. The gamma rays had huge amounts of kilowatt-hours of energy, and also a huge number of gigabytes of information. Any time one finds a concentration instead of a random distribution one has found evidence of intelligence.
